Renewable energy comes from sources that naturally refill or never run out. These are better for the environment because they don’t cause as much pollution.

Comes from the wind blowing! Wind turbines use the wind’s power to create electricity.
Solar Energy
Comes from the Sun! We use solar panels to capture sunlight and turn it into electricity.
Hydropower (Water Energy)
Comes from flowing water in rivers or dams. The water spins turbines to make electricity.
Geothermal Energy
Comes from heat inside the Earth! We use it to heat buildings or create electricity.

Wave Energy
Comes from the movement of waves on the ocean's surface. Devices float on the water and convert wave motion into electricity.
Hydrogen Energy
Comes from using hydrogen gas as fuel. Hydrogen can be produced from water and used in fuel cells to generate electricity with only water as a byproduct!
Tidal Energy
Comes from the movement of ocean tides. Special turbines are placed underwater to capture energy from the rise and fall of tides.
Biomass
Comes from plants, wood, and even animal waste! It’s burned to produce heat or energy.
